Fast forward to 3 1/2 years later, we took a trip to Munising, MI in the UP where we hike Pictured Rocks trying the whole way not to fall into mud lol. We finally reached Chapel Rock on July 15th, 2017 he got down on one knee and said “Katleynn Marie Whitely I love you, I love you more and I love you most. You are more than a lover there could never be another to make me feel the way you do. I have fallen in love all over every time I look at you. I don’t know where I would be without you here with me. Life with you makes perfect sense. You’re my best friend and when I am with you, you make me feel like the luckiest man in the world. I would be lying if I said I couldn’t live the rest of my life without you. I want to grow old to be the old couple we always laugh and talk about. Will you do the honors of being my wife and marry me!” And of course I said yes.

THe Romance

Tyler and I met in third grade in the same class. We were great friends from there until our senior year. We started to hang out after his football games. Homecoming of senior year came and I was on the homecoming court. I needed to be at the game for halftime when they announced who was king and queen. Tyler asked me if I would where his jersey to the game. I told him I wasn’t sure if I would be able to since I would be in a dress. I still took his jersey just in case I could change into it. After half time I was able to change into it and wore his jersey for the second half. After the second half I met him on the field and he was so excited to see me wearing it. A few days later on October 29th, 2013 he asked me to take a step further and be his girlfriend. I gladly said yes! At that time he came out and told me he’s been crushing on me since 10th grade and was continuously being put in the “friend zone” and advised that if I wouldn’t have worn his jersey at the homecoming game he would have stopped trying to win my heart.
